Vintages

The vintage is the signature of a year — weather, sunshine, rainfall, and the state of the vine at harvest. In biodynamics, where we let nature take its course as much as possible, the vintage is particularly evident in the glass.

Vintage Notes from Manoir de la Tête Rouge

2023 — The year of a return to freshness

A late year, marked by a cool spring and a balanced summer. Slow ripening, good acidity, fine and straightforward reds, mineral whites. The Cabernet Francs reveal a beautiful floral and spicy profile.

2022 — A sunny and powerful year

Hot and dry summer. Early harvest, thick skins, concentrated juices. Dense reds with present tannins, full-bodied whites. Small production in volume but great quality.

2021 — A difficult year, rigorous selection

Spring frosts, cool and rainy summer. Small volumes, drastic selection in the vineyard. The surviving wines are very expressive, focusing on finesse.

2020 — A balanced harvest

Good acidity/ripeness balance, harvest in good conditions. Harmonious reds, aromatic whites. Excellent aging potential.
